Where can I play the classic mario brothers game online?
I’m trying to download the classic mario brothers game for Nintendo that also included duck hunt – or I’m looking for a site online where I can play it (for free!) Does Anyone Know Where I Can Find Ocarina Songbooks Online?
I recently got an extended sweet potato 12-hole ocarina. It’s supposedly a Limited Edition replica inspired by the Ocarina of Time from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo. It plays in the key of “C” by the way.
The same people who sold me the ocarina also gave me a songbook to go with it (all Zelda tunes). But I was just wondering if there are any more songbooks/tabs/music sheets for this type of ocarina? Preferably free, but I don’t mind paying. And they don’t have to be Zelda songs, it can be other video game themes or just classic songs – whatever.
Oh, I didn’t mean a music store or a local dealer. I meant online stores/websites.. xD
I don’t know where you got your ocarina, but hopefully they gave you a chart which shows the fingerings for each note. It should show all holes covered (including the small subholes) is A4. All holes covered, except subholes is C. The first thing to do is work on learning how to play each note. After you know that, you could start learning sheet music. That will open up every musical door in the world for you. You’ll be able to play everything from Bach to Beastie Boys.
There are limited tabs available for ocarina, and it can be frustrating to find the notes for a particular song. It’s fortunate that ocarina is relatively easy to learn, and you will be able to pick out songs by ear pretty quickly.
I think your best bet is joining The Ocarina Network. You can get tabs and sheet music, especially for Zelda/video game music. You can also learn about online method books, read reviews, and learn about other makers. It will be a good resource if you are just starting out. Search topics for questions you have before asking them and spend some time reading through old posts. You can get a lot of info really quickly that way.
