Just put it up on Ebay, along with the games you have. The system and games will sell for more if you have the boxes and/or manuals.

  20. C-rawk says:

“This is a side-scroller as in previous Mario games, and it takes advantage of the Super Nintendo’s 16-bit graphics and stereo sound. The game consists of a journey through levels in seven worlds: Yoshi’s Island, Donut Plains, Vanilla Dome, Twin Bridges Area (including the Cheese & Butter Bridges and Soda Lake) terminating in Cookie Mountain, Forest of Illusion, Chocolate Island, and the Valley of Bowser. There are also two secret worlds – Star Road and Special Zone (accessed via the Star World) – which can be found by finding a key and a key hole in certain levels. Experienced players can utilize the Star Road to reach the end of the game in only 12 levels.

Super Mario rides a Yoshi in one of the first levels of World 1.Super Mario World contains a “world map” screen, which provides a passive overview of all the game’s levels; each level is accessed individually from the world map. The concept was previously seen in Super Mario Bros. 3, and World’s execution is similar but more elaborate. The game features 72 courses laid out across the seven worlds, and 96 exits (some levels have more than one exit; these levels are usually marked red). Secret exits open up new routes on the overworld map, often leading to secret levels. When a player reaches the completion of the 96 “goals,” the beginning screen will display a star next to the number “96″ beside the file the goals were completed on. Something to consider, however, is the fact that the game cover states that it contains “96 levels,” implying that the number of stages and exits are equal when in reality there are only 72 true levels.”

What is the name of this Super Nintendo Game?
I am looking for a video game for the Super Nintendo game system. All I can remember from it was that you play two men who are brothers or friends, not sure what exactly. I know you play through a series of what seems to be prehistoric levels. I know at one point you have to kill a large dinosaur. I don’t know anything else about it. If anyone can tell me the name of this game I will give them best answer!
Also…I know for a FACT it is not Super Mario Bros.

Tonight when I plugged it in, the red light came on and stuff then I went to go find the channel that I’m supposed to have it on and it shut off but the slider thing was still on the “ON” position. Could it be possible that it just died? We’ve had it since like 1990 or 1989

Try cleaning the thing up.Unscrew it,and wipe the dust off of the motherboard(I guess thats what it is)with a q-tip.Make sure everything is tight, like the ports for the plug ins.Get another q-tip and push it in the ting were you stick the game packs into.Go back and forth until you get all the crud or most dust out.Doing this should help. You have to take care and keep your systems in good shape.I still have my mothers Atari 2600 from when she was a kid,and I’ve kept it in great condition, and it works fantastic.

I go here. It’s not an auction site, but the people here are hardcore old time Nintendo gamers who have good deals on their old systems. You can find just about anything here. I was lucky enough to get get a copy of Earthbound COMPLETE for 30 bucks a few weeks ago. That game goes for 150 easy on eBay. Give it a look and see if you can find what you want. If not, try Amazon, at least there you don’t have to bid on items.

PS: It’s a sell forum on a retrogamer site, not an auction site.

@ The Precocious, I’m quite sure an antique shope would want to pay more for it than just $5 so I don’t know if you’re saying that to be sarcastic or what.

I don’t think this device is licensed by Nintendo Inc. but can i still purchase it anywhere. It would also be great if you had information on similar devices which play newer Nintendo or Sega games. Bare in mind, I do not want to go through the trouble of downloading an emulator and playing on my computer.

No. Due to region locking, you can’t do this without the use of an external device, like an Action Replay. Besides, even if it wasn’t region locked, Super Famicom, the SNES in Japan, cartridges can’t fit properly into an American SNES, which is why you need an AR with the proper connectors.

It’s been almost 10 years ago that I played this but I remember one of my cousin had this game for either the Super Nintendo ( grey/purple one) or the NES Nintendo System ( I’m sure it was the grey/purple ones though ). But anyways, it was this single block game ( you knwo how they were like back then? The game was like a brick! ), and when you put it in, like… okay bare with me.. it’s like a BUNCH of Mario Games… like these http://yfrog.com/b83n23pf3l25y45w25s2a64dej … and they were side by side and you had to use the left or right arrow to move it .. and when you want to play a specific mario game that was on that single game block, you simply press it and etc. Please help me find the name of that game, if you have any idea, please tell me and thank you so much!

    Super Mario All-Stars:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNcDhpTTipA

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hciDOst9SGw&feature=related

Super Mario All-Stars is a compilation featuring remade versions of all three Super Mario games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3), as well as the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2, which is included in the compilation under the title of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, it sports graphic enhancements, glitch fixes, and the ability to save one’s game, allowing the player to restart from a save point instead of from the beginning, should a player lose all of their lives. These graphical enhancements would serve as the basis for the Game Boy Advance ports of Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. An alternate version, also containing Super Mario World, was bundled with the Super NES in December 1993 as the Super NES Mario Set. It was very successful and well-received upon release and eventually became a “Player’s Choice Million Seller”.
